Description

18th century with later alterations. 2-storey and attic, 2-bay rectangular-plan house (converted to shop) with crowstepped gable to street, adjoining 2-storey 4-bay rectangular-plan house to W. Cement-rendered and lined at ground to E and to N elevation of E house; harled elsewhere. Band course between ground and 1st floors to E.

E (BRIDGE STREET) ELEVATION: 3 large evenly disposed shop windows at ground; window to right of centre at each floor above; gablehead stack.

N ELEVATION: 2-bay group to left: large shop window at ground in bay to left; window at 1st floor above. Window at 1st floor in bay to right. 4-bay group to right: modern timber doors in each bay at ground to left; window in each bay remaining.

Variety of glazing patterns including shop windows, 2-, 4- and 12-pane timber sash and case windows. Grey slate roof to E house; corrugated-iron roof to W house; stone ridge; coped, harled gablehead stack to E (not used); uPVC rainwater goods.

INTERIOR: E house converted as shop at ground; unseen above; W house unseen, 1998.
