Description

18th century with later alterations. 2-storey, 2 x 6-bay crowstepped gable-ended rectangular-plan pair of houses, with stop-chamfered SE angle, now one property, converted to shop at ground. Harled. Band course with shop fascia between floors to gabled elevation; eaves course; modern concrete cills.

E (GABLED) ELEVAITON: modern, part-glazed door at ground to chamfered angle to outer left; 2 closely disposed shop windows, offset to right of centre; 2, evenly disposed window at 1st floor; gablehead stack above.

S (SIDE) ELEVATION: bays grouped 3-3. 3-bay group to left: 2-leaf, part-glazed doors at ground in bay to centre; window at 1st floor above. Window at each floor in bay to left. Part-glazed door at ground in bay to right; window at 1st floor above. 3-bay group to right: small window at 1st floor in bay to centre. Non-aligned window at each floor in bay to left. Window at each floor in bay to right.

Timber-framed windows with top-hung upper lights; large shop windows to E elevation. Grey slate roof; stone ridge; harled, coped gablehead stack to E; uPVC rainwater goods.

INTERIOR: converted as shop at ground; unseen above, 1998.
