Description
60 Victoria Street in Kirkwall is an 18th-century, two-storey house that has been converted into a shop. It has a rectangular plan with a single bay and features a crowstepped gable end. The northwest angle is stop-chamfered, and there is a tall gablehead stack. The exterior is harled, and modern concrete window cills have been added.
On the principal (west) elevation, there is a deep-set, part-glazed modern door located at the ground level in the chamfered angle to the outer left. There is a window offset to the right of the centre on each floor, with the gablehead stack positioned above.
The side (south) elevation has a window at each floor in the bay to the outer left. The windows are four-pane timber sash and case. The roof is covered with grey slate and features a stone ridge, along with a tall, harled, corniced stack on the west side. The property has uPVC rainwater goods.
The interior has been converted to a shop at the ground level, with the upper floors remaining unseen since 1998.
