66 Victoria Street, Kirkwall

This mid 19th century house at 66 Victoria Street in Kirkwall is a two-storey, three-bay rectangular-plan building that is asymmetrical and abuts Number 62-62 Victoria Street at right angles to the rear. The exterior is constructed of random rubble, with Caithness slab lintels above the ground floor windows.

On the south elevation, there is a two-leaf boarded door with a letterbox fanlight located in the bay to the left of center, with a window above it on the first floor. There is also a window in the outer left bay on the first floor, a window in the ground floor bay to the right of center, and a window in each floor of the outer right bay.

The east side elevation features a single-storey lean-to that spans the ground floor bays, with a window set to the right on the first floor and a gablehead stack above.

The house predominantly has 12-pane timber sash and case windows. The roof is covered with grey slate and includes a traditional stone slated easing course, a stone ridge, and a rubble gablehead stack on the east side with a brick extension. The property also has cast-iron rainwater goods.

The interior was not seen in 1998.
