Description

18th century, re-built circa 1815, with later alterations. 2-storey and attic, 2-bay, (5-bay at ground), rectangular-plan, crowstepped house (converted as shop at ground). Cement rendered at ground; harled at 1st floor. Band course between floors. Raised, painted margins to ground floor windows; cement cills to 1st floor windows.

W (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: recessed, part-glazed timber panelled door with letterbox fanlight at ground in bay offset to left of centre; window at 1st floor above. Window in each bay flanking door at ground. Window at each floor in bay to outer right.

N (SIDE) ELEVATION: window to right of centre at each floor, with small attic window to gable; gablehead stack above.

S (SIDE) ELEVATION: abutting number 30; gablehead stack.

Timber-framed shop windows at ground; modern small-pane timber-framed windows at 1st floor with top-hung upper lights; 2 evenly disposed roof light s to W pitch. Grey slate roof (replacing 20th centiry corrugated-iron); stone ridge; corniced, harled gablehead stacks; uPVC rainwater goods.

INTERIOR: modern shop conversion at ground; unseen elsewhere.
