Description
8 St Olaf's Wynd in Kirkwall is an early 19th-century house that has undergone later alterations. This two-storey, three-bay house features a rectangular plan and a symmetrical design with crowstepped gables, and it is part of a terraced pair. The exterior is harled with long and short margins around the openings.
On the south elevation, there is a modern uPVC door with a two-pane letterbox fanlight located in the central bay at ground level, with a window above it on the first floor. Each bay has a window on both floors. The windows are four-pane timber sash and case. The roof is made of corrugated asbestos with a stone ridge, and there are harled, corniced gablehead stacks on the west side, along with a similar mutual stack. Thack stanes and uPVC rainwater goods are also present.
The interior was not seen during the last assessment in 1998.
