Heritage Centre, 2 Main Street, Glamis

The Heritage Centre located at 2 Main Street in Glamis is a 19th century rebuild of a single storey, 3-bay cottage that was converted into a Heritage Centre in 1996. The building is constructed of snecked rubble with stugged ashlar quoins and raised margins on the side elevations.

The northwest elevation, facing Main Street, is symmetrical and features a 2-leaf boarded timber door at the center, along with a further blocked window or door. There are windows in the flanking bays.

On the northeast elevation, there is a window to the outer right and a small window to the left in the gablehead, with a recessed bay that has a window to the outer left.

The southwest elevation, which faces Foote's Close, includes a window to the right in the gablehead and a slightly recessed bay to the outer right that has a door and an adjacent window.

The building features a 4-pane glazing pattern in timber sash and case windows, with top-opening windows in the recessed bay at the rear. The roof is covered with grey slate and Angus stone slate, and it has coped ashlar stacks with thackstanes.
