12, 14 Main Street, Glamis

12 and 14 Main Street in Glamis is a late 19th century, possibly incorporating earlier elements, two-storey, three-bay house. It features coursed rubble with ashlar dressings, and there is a harled section at the rear.

The northwest elevation facing Main Street is symmetrical, with the central bay containing a part-glazed timber door, a window, and a gablet that breaks the eaves above. To the right of the central bay is a small window, and there are bipartite windows in the outer bays on each floor.

On the southeast elevation, there is an off-centre left door at ground level, with an advanced piended bay to the right. A stone forestair leads to a door on the first floor, with a window immediately to the right and another window to the left.

The northeast elevation is a blank gabled wall, with a harled extension to the left that includes a door and an adjacent window at ground level. There are two small windows on the first floor, and a further lean-to extension beyond to the left.

The windows are timber sash and case with a 4-pane glazing pattern. The roof is covered with grey slates, and there are coped ashlar stacks with cans.
