Description
This is a two-storey, three-bay house located at 18 Main Street in Glamis, dated 1769. It is part of a regular terrace to the northeast and is constructed from coursed rubble with harl pointing and large quoins.
The northwest elevation, facing Main Street, is symmetrical. It features a part-glazed timber door with a dated lintel at the center on the ground floor, flanked by windows in the side bays, with regular fenestration on the first floor where the windows are smaller.
The southeast elevation is asymmetrical, with a large ancillary structure projecting to the left.
The southwest elevation is blank and includes a gablehead stack.
The windows are timber sash and case, featuring 4-pane, 8-pane, and plate glass glazing patterns. The roof is covered with grey slates, and there are tall-coped ashlar stacks with cans and thackstanes.
