5 And 7 Main Street, Glamis

5 and 7 Main Street in Glamis is a late 18th-century, two-storey, three-bay house constructed of coursed, squared, and snecked rubble, featuring large quoins.

The southeast elevation facing Main Street is symmetrical, with a boarded timber door and a small-pane fanlight at the center, flanked by windows in the outer bays and regular window placement near the eaves on the first floor.

On the southwest elevation, there is a window to the right of center on each floor, along with a broad gablehead stack. The northeast elevation has a window to the left of center on each floor, a broad gablehead stack, and a single-storey bay to the right, which includes a door on the left and two windows to the right.

The northwest elevation features a central bay with a door and an adjacent window to the right, with a lean-to outbuilding attached to the outer right. There is also a window in the center on the first floor, and a single-storey projection to the left with two windows and a higher blank gable on the outer left.

The windows are timber sash and case with a 12-pane glazing pattern. The roof is covered with grey slates, while the outbuilding has a corrugated-iron roof. The chimney stacks are made of coped ashlar with some cans and thackstanes.
