Workshop, Hanton's Yard, Main Street, Glamis

This building is a workshop located in Hanton's Yard on Main Street in Glamis, dating from the late 18th to early 19th century. It is a single-storey structure with a rectangular plan and a piend roof, constructed from coursed rubble.

On the southeast elevation, there is a broad, full-height, two-leaf timber cart and machinery door positioned to the left of the center. To the outer left, there is a six-part horizontally aligned window with vertically astragalled glazing, and a timber apron that blocks a former cart and machinery door. Just to the right of the center, another window blocks a former door, and there is a traditionally lettered timber fascia board that reads 'KENNETH HANTON' located near the eaves at the outer right.

The fixed timber windows feature six- and eight-pane glazing patterns, and all openings have timber lintels. The roof is covered with Angus stone slates.
