Workshop Behind Cameron House, Market Square, Coldstream

The building is a workshop located behind Cameron House in Market Square, Coldstream, and dates from the earlier 19th century. It is a two-storey structure that was probably originally rectangular but now features a splayed southeast corner. The exterior is constructed of rubble with long and short angle quoins, and it has ashlar cills and lintels. The entrance to the workshop is located on the splay, with a loft entrance above it.

On the south elevation, there are three windows on the ground floor and four on the first floor, all featuring "joiners' workshop glazing," which consists of vertical wooden bars and overlapped small squares of flawed glass. The ground floor windows have timber panels at their bases.

The north elevation includes a door to the east, two ground floor windows, and three first floor windows. These are all glazed similarly to those on the south elevation, except for the ground floor window on the west side, which has a 12-pane deadlight with a timber panel at the base.

The east elevation has one 8-pane deadlight with a timber panel at the face. The building is topped with a slate roof that has skews, except at the splayed corner. The bases of brick stacks remain visible.
