Adj to 50 Sabbath Hill, Ballyveaghmore, Kilkeel, Newry, Co Down, BT34 4UR

This is a simple vernacular building, likely constructed between 1820 and 1839, and located adjacent to 50 Sabbath Hill, Ballyveaghmore, near Kilkeel, Newry, County Down. It is currently part of a farmyard associated with a more modern house. The building is a one-story, two-bay house that faces south. It is shown on Ordnance Survey maps from 1834 and 1859. The roof is covered in natural slates with cement copings and features three chimneys – one at each gable, although the east gable chimney is a dummy. A single cast iron roof light is present on the front elevation. The walls are built of random granite rubble, finished with lime rendering and whitewashed. The front façade includes a sheeted door in the middle and a modern top-hung window on either side. A single 2/2 sliding sash window is located at the rear. The building is of private ownership and, despite being under threat of demolition, is not listed.
