Ballyveagh House, 67 Ballyveaghbeg Rd, Kilkeel, Newry, Co Down, BT34 4XJ

Ballyveagh House is a two-storey, three-bay farmhouse, likely built between 1820 and 1839, situated on the south side of Ballyveagh Beg. The building is accompanied by attached two-storey outhouses to the right gable, a large lean-to shed to the west gable, and an outshot to the rear. The pitched roof is covered in natural slates with cement copings to the gables, and features three slated dormers on the front elevation. The house has two cement-rendered chimneys; one on the party wall between the left and central bay and another on the right gable, between the end bay and the outhouses. The walls are constructed of rendered random granite rubble. All windows are 3/3 margin-paned sliding sash windows. The left bay has one window on the ground floor and one dormer window above. The central bay features a window and a broad t+g sheeted door within a shallow gabled porch on the ground floor, with another dormer window above. The right bay has a window and a door on the ground floor, and a dormer window above. All dormer windows are currently boarded up. The buildings appear on Ordnance Survey maps dating from 1834, 1859, and 1901, although none are labelled with a house name. The building is noted for its vernacular characteristics.
