This is a simple vernacular building, likely constructed between 1820 and 1839. It began as a single-storey, three-bay house with an outhouse attached to each gable, all facing east. The building is shown on an Ordnance Survey map from 1834.

The roof is gabled and covered with a mix of natural and artificial slates. A rendered chimney, built of random rubble, stands on the party wall between the first and second bays. The outhouse on the left and the first bay of the main house are built from coursed squared granite rubble, while the remaining walls are of random granite rubble and are lime-washed. The northwest-facing elevation of the house has a sheeted timber door positioned to the right of the second bay. The windows on the main house are sliding sash; a 2/2 window is found in the left bay, a 3/3 margin-paned window to the left of the second bay, and the window in the third bay has been enlarged to create a shed door. The north-west elevation of the outhouse features two fixed-pane windows, and a sheeted timber door at the right. The north-east gable of the outhouse has corrugated iron sliding doors. The building is currently used as farm buildings, having formerly served as a house. Its vernacular character is a notable feature. The building is in poor condition and lacks internal features such as fireplaces. It is not considered of sufficient quality to warrant statutory listing.
