This is a single-storey, two-bay dwelling with a slightly lower, three-bay outhouse attached to the right gable, all facing east. The house has a gabled roof covered in natural slates with a cement coping. A cement-rendered chimney is located between the first and second bays. The walls are built of rendered and whitewashed random granite rubble. The front elevation features a sheeted and glazed door at the right end of the second bay, alongside a 3/3 sash window to its left. A modern top-hung window is located in the first bay. The left gable is plain. The rear elevation has a single-storey, flat-roofed outshot to the right, with the remaining walls being plain. A lower outhouse abuts the right gable, constructed using materials similar to the main house, and has an asbestos tiled roof with a central chimney. It has a modern top-hung window to the first bay and a t & g boarded door to the second bay, with the remainder of the walls being plain.

A building appears on the 1834 Ordnance Survey 6-inch map. The house is believed to have been constructed between 1820 and 1839. The building exhibits vernacular characteristics.
