Description
Pistyll Dewi Farmhouse is a stone-built farmhouse that has been rendered in grey cement and features a slate roof with a tiled ridge and three rendered end-chimneys. The newer west front is two storeys high and presents a symmetrical design with two units and a central entrance, along with a lower-roofed additional unit to the left that may be slightly later in date. A larger chimney is located at the north gable. The main part of this elevation has sash windows with nine panes above and twelve panes below, while the additional unit on the left has four-pane sash windows both above and below. The south elevation features a chimney breast that projects on stone corbels at first floor level.
The rear wing on the east elevation includes one door and one window, with a twelve-pane sash window and a plain door that has an overlight. There are also two small attic sash windows in the east-facing gable, and a small lean-to shed is situated at the north. Inside, there is a dogleg staircase located in a narrow bay off the rear wing. The original roof trusses remain intact and are of the collar beam type with lapped dovetail joints.
