Description
Bryngwyn Canol is a farmhouse featuring whitewashed random rubble walls and a slate roof, complemented by neatly-built rubble-stone end chimneys with drip projections. The building has shallow eaves and verges with exposed adzed purlin ends. It is designed with a two-storey, two-unit plan that includes an outshut and an added rear wing.
The south-facing front has three windows with stone-voussoired cambered openings and slate sills. There is a central 20th-century glazed door, flanked by earlier 20th-century metal 6-pane top-hung casements in their original openings. The first floor contains 4-pane horned sashes. The east end wall is blank, except for two small windows located on the side of the outshut. The rear features a dairy in the outshut and an added gabled rear wing with 4-pane sash windows.
The front fireplaces appear to be blocked, while the fireplace in the rear wing has a timber bressumer.
