House. C17, altered C19 and C20. Painted roughcast over rubblestone and cob to each side, good squared coursed sandstone and limestone rubble external stack to central gabled corner; plain tile roof with stack to left party wall. L-shaped plan, curving back to meet No.7 (qv) to the right. 2 storeys; 2-window range. C19 and C20 casement windows. To the left of the south front, facing a courtyard, are wide exposed rubblestone jambs and C20 hood over a C18 door with 6 raised and fielded panels, with a 2-light casement window above and one of 3 lights to the right. In a recess to the left of the gable-end stack, facing Church Steps, is a C19 trellised porch to a C19 planked door with C20 glazing to the top. One 2-light C20 casement window to the upper floor and a 3-light casement to the lower floor. INTERIOR not inspected.
