Description

This building is a shop and house located on Church Street, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of ham stone ashlar with a hipped Welsh slate roof and features a brick chimney stack. The structure is two storeys high and has two bays.

The upper level has sash windows with 16 panes in plain surrounds, while the ground floor features a 19th-century shopfront. This shopfront includes rounded corner bay windows on panelled stall-risers flanking a wide part-glazed door, which is set beneath a rectangular fanlight. There is a slim fascia with curved returns above the shopfront.

The house entrance is located in the centre of the three-bay south side, consisting of a six-panel door set in an architrave, with a semi-circular arched window above and blind windows on either side at the upper level. The interior has not been seen. This building is included primarily for its shopfront and for its group value within the streetscape.
