Description
The Pharmacy is a 19th-century chemist shop with a house above, located on Church Street. It is constructed from Ham stone, primarily in ashlar, with rubble at the base of the wall on the south-west side. The building features a hipped Welsh slate roof with a wide eaves overhang and a rendered brick chimney stack. It has three storeys and two bays, with plain sash windows that have four panes in plain openings. The ground floor showcases an early 20th-century shop front with leaded toplights above the windows and a dentilled hood over the fascia, along with a central doorway and rounded corners at ground floor level. The interior is unremarkable. The building is included in the listing for its connection to the significant house behind it, The Chantry, and its contribution to the streetscape.
