Description

This is a row of stone cottages located on Chilkwell Street, with number 22 projecting slightly. They likely date from the 17th century. The cottages are two storeys high and have a colourwashed exterior. The roofs are covered in pantiles. The windows are stone mullioned with three lights, each with a hood mould. Number 22 has three-light wooden casement windows instead. A doorway with a hood mould is present at number 16. An iron trellis porch is attached to number 20. Numbers 16 to 24, when taken as a group, contribute to the streetscape.
