Detached farmhouse. C17 origins, remodelled in C18. Ham stone coursed rubble, ashlar quoins and dressings; concrete double Roman tiles of 1970s replacing thatch, stepped coped gables; brick chimney stacks. 'T'-plan: 2 storeys with attics, west roadside elevation of 3 bays. Leaded casement windows with iron-framed opening lights, 3-light bay 1 and 2-light bay 2: ground floor bay 3 has a plain mullioned 2-light window in shallow architrave. Single-bay extension on north gable, set lower, with Welsh slate roof and 3-light leaded casement. Entrance on east side: bay 1 has 3-light windows, bay 2 a C20 lean-to porch with C20 casement over, and bay 3 is a 2-bay projecting wing to match, with attic window and boarded door in east gable. Attached to south gable a 2- storey cart shed with cider cellar, east side 4 bays with boarded doors to outer bays and open segmental arches to inner bays: 3-light first floor leaded casement set centrally on east side, with 2 more on west side. Interior not seen, but reported are several deep-chamfered beams, some unstopped, with more massive beams in east projecting wing: much C19 alteration of plan, and several possible interpretations of development (VAG Report, unpublished SRO, 1978).
