Description
Nos 1 and 2 are former almshouses built in 1845. This Gothic-style building is two stories high and constructed of red brick with ashlar dressings. The left side of the building projects slightly forward. It features three gables with moulded cappings that rise into an old tiled roof, and there is a large central ashlar stack. Weathered hoodmoulds link along the front of the building. The first floor has original pointed lights, with paired windows on the left and a single window on the right side of the ground floor. There are two moulded pointed doorways, each topped with rectangular dripmoulds, leading to original double doors.
