Description
Nos 45 and 46 on Fore Street are early 18th-century buildings featuring a three-storey red brick front. They have a cornice band and a parapet, along with a string course and three windows. The second floor includes a small central window with a shouldered architrave surround, while the first floor has two Venetian windows and one round-headed window, with the lower parts of the latter cut off. The windows are sashes with glazing bars. There is a modern shop front at the ground level and four square braces at the second-floor level. These buildings are part of an important group that includes No 1A Billet Street, No 66 The County Hotel, the Brendon Bar, and No 8 East Street, which are all listed buildings in the area.
