Description
Two K6 telephone kiosks are located outside The Market House on Fore Street. These kiosks were designed in 1935 by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott and made by various contractors. They are constructed of cast iron and have a square shape with domed roofs. The top panels feature unperforated crowns, and the windows and doors have margin glazing. Notably, the right-hand kiosk displays a mixture of George VI and Elizabeth II crowns, which are all original.
