Description
Six lamp standards located to the south of The Market House, between The Market House and The Tudor Tavern, were made by Hardy and Padmore Ltd in Worcester around 1932. Each lamp standard features a circular shaft with some reeding above an octagonal base. At the top, paired volutes support two pendant globe lights, and there is a flame motif on top. These lamp standards were relocated to their current position in 1996. They form an important group with the listed buildings at No 1A Billet Street, No 66, the County Hotel, the Brendon Bar, and No "8" East Street.
