Description
19 and 20 Fore Street is an early to mid 19th century pair of buildings. They are three storeys high and have a colourwashed finish, featuring a cornice and parapet. The upper floors are divided by fluted Corinthian pilasters and each property has one three-light sash window with architrave surrounds. There are large semi-circular blind arches above the central lights, supported by console brackets. No 19 has a modern shop front, while No 20 has a 19th century double shop front with a decorative wrought-iron balcony. These buildings are part of an important group that includes No 1A Billet Street, No 66 The County Hotel, the Brendon Bar, and No 8 East Street, along with other listed buildings in Cheapside, Fore Street, and the Parade.
