Description
Double Six is a three-storey building with a three-window painted brick front, likely dating from the early 19th century. It features rusticated pilasters, a dentil cornice, and a parapet. There is a band above the first floor and a cornice with volutes over the ground floor. The windows have moulded architraves, and there is a canted bay in the centre of the ground floor adorned with colonnets and capitals. The sashes have had their glazing bars removed. To the left, there is a round-headed doorway flanked by Ionic columns. Double Six, along with No 1A Billet Street, No 66 The County Hotel, the Brendon Bar, and No 8 East Street, forms an important group with other listed buildings in Cheapside, Fore Street, and the Parade.
