Description

No 18 Hammet Street is the end building of Hammet Street, facing Fore Street. It features early to mid 19th century details and is colourwashed. The building is three storeys high with a three-window brick front that faces west. It has a parapet that sweeps up to a higher level, banded quoins, a cornice, and a blocking course. There is a sill band, and the windows have moulded architrave surrounds with foliated keystones. The sashes do not have glazing bars. The shop front is modern. This building, along with No 33 Fore Street, is part of a significant group that includes all the listed buildings in Hammet Street, St Mary Magdalene Church, and the listed buildings in Church Square.
