Description
No. 37 Market Place is an 18th-century building that stands two storeys tall with attics, constructed from painted brick and topped with a pantile roof featuring one dormer. The building has a coped gable end with a kneeler and rusticated quoins. It includes two windows with lintels, which are hung sashes with glazing bars. The early 19th-century shop front features two rectangular bays with glazing bars, a central part-glazed door with a rectangular fanlight above, and a fascia. To the left, there is a passage door. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 15 and 16, 16A, 17 to 23 (consecutive), 33 to 38 (consecutive), and St George's House, along with Nos 40 to 48 (consecutive), of which several are noted as buildings of local interest.
