Description

This is an early 19th-century building located on the north side of Market Place. It is three storeys high and rendered on the front, with coursed rubble visible on the side. The building has three windows, each with a lintel and hung sash windows with glazing bars. A mid-19th century shop front features a fascia and paired pilasters, with modern glazing and a central doorway. The building is part of a group of buildings of local interest which includes premises occupied by the York County Savings Bank, the White Swan Hotel, The Bay Horse Public House, and other properties on Market Place.
