Description
7 Fore Street is a late 19th-century building that stands three storeys tall and is constructed of freestone. It features a deep cornice with brackets and a parapet, along with banded quoins and a rusticated ground floor. There is a sill band adorned with egg and dart motifs beneath the first-floor windows, and volutes with foliage are positioned to the left and right under the sill band. The building has five windows, with architrave surrounds on the upper floors. The first-floor windows are particularly notable for their alternating segmental and open triangular pediments, which are supported by carved brackets. This building is part of an important group that includes No 1A Billet Street, No 66 The County Hotel, the Brendon Bar, and No 8 East Street, all of which are listed buildings in the area.
