Description

Nos 76 and 78 on South Street are 18th-century buildings made of red brick with a tiled roof. They are two storeys high with attics and feature an eaves cornice made of diagonally placed bricks. The windows are three-light sashes, with rubber voussoirs and keystones, and all but two ground floor windows have glazing bars. The doorways are set in plain reveals, and there are two hipped attic dormers. No 76 has a modern shop front, and to the right, there is an entryway with rubber voussoirs and keystones. These buildings are part of a group that includes Nos 64 to 80 (even) and No 80A.
