Description
These stables, located behind numbers 72 and 74, date from the late 18th or early 19th century, with one section rebuilt in the late 19th century. The stables are constructed of red brick with pitched slate roofs. One section spans the stable court, featuring a depressed arch with a planked loading door above, now replaced with concrete on the west side. Connected to this is a single-story red brick extension with a pitched pantile roof on the north side. A tall red brick stack is present. The windows are casements with glazing bars, and the original entrances include planked double doors and two planked loading doors. The east side of the south facade was rebuilt in the late 19th century, incorporating a wooden external staircase. A brick wall runs along the north side of the courtyard, extending from the single-story extension to the Home Appliance Services Warehouse.
