Description

Hamilton Place, located on South Street, is a late 18th-century building constructed of red brick. It stands three storeys tall and features three ranges of sash windows with glazing bars. The main entrance has a three-centred arch and is flanked by round-headed doorways; the door to No 72 has two fielded panels. The ground floor of No 72 includes a sash window with Gothick glazing bars, moulded voussoirs, and a cornice above, all set within a sunk panel. No 74 has an inserted shop front. Nos 64 to 80 (even) and No 80A are part of a group with this building.
