Description

This building is an outbuilding located about 5 metres east of the King's Head Inn. It is likely the former stables for the inn, dating from the 18th century and remodelled in the 19th century. The structure is constructed of ham stone coursed rubble, with the street-facing gable made of near-ashlar. It features a triple-roll clay tiled roof between stepped coped gables and has one brick chimney stack.

The outbuilding has two storeys and a four-bay west elevation. There are doorways in the ground floor bays two and four, with the fourth bay featuring a stable door. The first floor has a variety of windows, including casement windows in bays one and four, and a 16-pane sash window in upper bay two. There is also a pair of boarded doors in upper bay three, which are accessed by stone stairs with a wrought-iron handrail. Additionally, there is a projecting brick extension to bay one. The interior has not been seen.
