Description

This milestone, located on the north side of Park Lane in Docombe, is likely from the 18th century. It is made of Ham stone and measures 400 mm wide, 100 mm thick, and approximately 600 mm high, featuring a triangular top. The stone is inscribed with the distances to London (127 miles) and Yeovil (4 miles). The road where it stands does not appear to have been turnpiked, and it is unclear who placed the milestone.
