Milestone. Early C19. Ham stone pillar, cast iron plaque. The stone about 370mm x 150mm high, with rounded top: the plaque 270mm x 210mm overall, with double curved top, reading '5-Yeovil' the town name being set on a curve. This road never turnpiked, although it has a series of milestones with plates similar to those of the Yeovil Trust. (Bentley J.B. and Murless B. J. Somerset Roads, Somerset Industrial Archaeological Society, 1985).
