Description

Durnfield Farmhouse is likely from the 18th century. It is constructed of ham stone ashlar, with coursed rubble to the sides, and has a Welsh slate roof with stepped coped gables and yellow brick chimney stacks. The south elevation features three bays. The farmhouse has a plinth and hollow-chamfered mullioned windows: 2-light windows above and 3-light windows below, all with rectangular leaded glass and iron frames. The lower windows have opening lights and labels. A 20th-century part-glazed door is set in a plain recess to the lower bay of the second bay. A later 19th-century extension is located at the south-east gable, set at a lower level and with a double Roman clay tiled roof and steel casement windows. The interior was not inspected.
