Description
This milestone or direction stone, likely from the 18th century, is located on the south side of Camp Road in Odcombe. It is made of Ham stone and measures approximately 450 millimeters wide, 300 millimeters thick, tapering to 200 millimeters, and stands about 1.4 meters tall with a flat top. The stone appears to have once been inscribed, with the word 'mile' barely legible. It may be a remnant of the London-Exeter road that existed before 1800.
