Milestone. C18 possibly. Ham stone, incised. Pillar about 260mm wide by 230mm thick and about 750mm high, slightly tapered, with flat top, inscribed (4 or 5)/miles/To/Yeovil'. This is a minor, unturnpiked road, and so was possibly erected by the parish. (Bentley JB and Murless BJ, Somerset Roads, Somerset Industrial Archaeological Society, 1985).
