Description

This milestone, located on Montacute Road, is possibly from the 18th century. It is made of ham stone and features incised lettering. The pillar measures approximately 260 millimeters wide, 230 millimeters thick, and 750 millimeters high, with a slight taper and a flat top. The inscription reads "4 or 5 miles To Yeovil." This milestone is situated on a minor, unturnpiked road, suggesting it may have been erected by the parish.
