Description

This milestone, located on the north side of Combe Road in Brympton D'Evercy, is likely from the 19th century. It is made of Ham stone and features a cast iron plaque. The pillar measures approximately 470 mm wide, 200 mm thick, and 850 mm high, with a triangular top. The plaque is 370 mm by 300 mm overall, with a shouldered segmental arched top and bottom, and it reads "YEOVIL 3". This road was turnpiked in 1753 and was maintained by the Yeovil Trust.
