Description

Carlton House is a detached house built in the early 19th century, constructed from Ham stone ashlar with a Welsh slate roof that features coped gables and brick chimney stacks at each end. The house has two storeys and consists of four bays. It has sash windows in plain openings, with 20-pane windows in the outer bays and 16-pane windows in the inner bays. The lower bay two features a six-panelled door with toplights, set in a deep recess and framed by an architrave with a hoodmould above. This entrance is approached by nine steps that are flanked by ashlar sidewalls with moulded copings. The interior has not been seen.
