2/97 Barn 2 metres south east of Manor Farmhouse -

GV II

Barn. Possibly C15. Local stone cut and squared; mostly double Roman clay tiles between coped gables, with some triple roll, but projecting porch roof hipped with clay pantiles. 5 bays running north/south, with projecting east and west porches to centre bay: corner and bay buttresses with offsets, ventilation slits between; tall boarded doors with wicket to porch. Inside two of the 4 roof trusses are raised crucks, with collars having curved braces; rafters notched onto purlins, with three tiers curved windbracing, the middle tier staggered; also smaller cruck to east porch.
