Description

Ivy House is a detached house likely dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of local lias stone, squared and cut, with ashlar dressings, and has a double Roman clay tile roof with stepped coped gables, and red brick chimney stacks. The house is two storeys with an attic, originally comprising two bays, but with extensions added later. It features mullioned windows of 2 lights above and 3 lights below, with wood casements, set in plain surrounds. A 6-panel door with glazed toplights and fielded centre panels sits within a plain surround, topped with a keystone. A lower, single-bay extension projects from the north gable, featuring casement windows, and a further lower extension connects to this. The interior has not been inspected.
