Description
This is a terrace of nine houses, numbered 9 to 17, located on Waterloo Road in Shepton Mallet. The terrace dates to around 1830. Nos 9, 11, and 13 are constructed of Doulting Limestone ashlar, while Nos 15 and 17 have a roughcast finish. The roofs are slate-covered, with brick and ashlar stacks. The terrace is three storeys high, with two bays each in Nos 9 to 15, and one bay in No 17. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars fitted within reveals. The door openings are semi-circular, with fanlights above. Nos 15 and 17 have moulded architraves around their doorways. The doors are four-panelled to Nos 9, 11, and 13, although Nos 15 and 17 have later replacement doors. Grooved pilasters accentuate the ends of the terrace and the divisions between Nos 11 and 13, 13 and 15, and 15 and 17.
