Description

Cloud Cottage is a cottage, possibly originally stables, dating from the early 19th century, with alterations made in the mid-20th century. It is constructed of red sandstone rubble and has a steeply pitched slate roof with a tall brick stack rising from the eaves on the right side. The building has a two-cell plan with an attached single-storey, single-cell porch on the left. It is two storeys high and has two bays. The first floor has two-light, segmental-headed casement windows. On the ground floor, the right-hand side has a 20th-century three-light, segmental-headed casement. A lean-to, timber-clad porch with a 20th-century window and a glazed door is located on the left. The cottage is primarily listed for its group value with Hazeldene to the left and Yellow and Shasta Cottages to the right.
