Description

No. 12 is a cottage within a terrace, dating to the 17th and 18th centuries, and altered in the late 20th century. The walls are colour-washed random rubble, topped with a steeply pitched thatched roof, including a central dormer that extends to the apex. The roof has lead coping on the left side, a brick stack to the left, and a stone and brick stack on the right. The cottage is two storeys high and has three bays. The first floor features large, two-light dormer casements. The ground floor contains 20th-century windows with multiple panes, flanking an entrance with a six-pane sash window to the left. A three-quarter-glazed door is present, and an enamelled wall box, inscribed "GR," is set in the outer bay to the right. The building is primarily listed for its group value.
