Description

This is an early to mid-19th century house situated in a row on the north side of High Street. The exterior is rendered over a rubble base, and the steeply pitched pyramid roof meets the White Horse Inn to the right. The roof features overhanging eaves with sprockets, and a brick stack rises from the lower portion of the roof on the right. The house is two storeys high and one bay wide. A 20th-century casement window is on the first floor. On the ground floor, a hipped slate-roofed projection obscures the facade. This projection contains a 20th-century tripartite window and an arched recess to the left, which contains a half-glazed door with a leaded fanlight above. The interior was not inspected. It is believed this house was built as an infill in the 19th century, and it was formerly used as a shop. The building is primarily listed for its group value, in conjunction with the adjacent White Horse Inn to the right and No. 6, High Street, to the left.
